Swine multiplier, techno demo farm project first in MisOcc

CLARIN, Misamis Occidental--The provincial government vowed to address agricultural issues in Misamis Occidental.

This, as Governor Henry Oaminal, lauded the pioneering swine multiplier and techno demo farm project at Barangay Sebasi in the Municipality of Clarin in the province, which targets developing the swine industry and advancing farming methods in the area.

OIC Provincial Agriculture Office OIC Mercy Uy, on behalf of Gov. Oaminal, attended a ceremonial groundbreaking in the area on January 23.

Uy was accompanied by Clarin Vice Mayor Ging Oaminal Delos Santos, and members of the Sangguniang Bayan also graced the occasion.

Uy conveyed Oaminal’s gratitude to the funding agency supporting the agricultural venture in the province.

The techno demo farm, which received generous funding of P10 million from ATI-RTC-10, is seen to become a game-changer in the agricultural sector in Clarin.

Clarin Mayor Jojo Roa said the sow-swine multiplier project is a “first of its kind” for the Misamis Occidental and even in the entire Northern Mindanao region.

"This initiative will not only boost our local economy but also enhance the agricultural practices in our community,” Roa added

The farm project is designed to showcase cutting-edge technologies and best practices in swine farming, setting a benchmark for others to follow.

The ceremonial groundbreaking was a symbolic moment for the province— marking the start of propelling Misamis Occidental into a new era of agricultural prosperity.

As the construction begins, it is anticipated that the pioneering swine multiplier and techno demo farm project will bring agricultural growth to the province, setting precedent scenarios for achieving sustainable and innovative farming practices. (PGMO)
